This policy explains what personal information PalletStash collects, why, and what rights you have. We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
PalletStash is a trading name of [Company name, company number, registered office address]. We are the data controller for the personal information described here. You can contact us about privacy at sales@palletstash.com.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, delivery address, email address, phone number and what you bought.
- Payment confirmation: PayPal tells us whether payment succeeded and gives us a transaction reference. We never see or store your card details.
- Messages: anything you send us by email.
- Website data: basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies. See "Cookies" below.

Who we share it with
We share only what each provider needs to do its job:
- PayPal, to take your payment. PayPal handles your data under its own privacy policy.
- Couriers and pallet networks, to deliver your order (name, address, phone number).
- Our website host and email provider, to run the shop and reply to you.
- Our accountant and HMRC, where the law requires it.
We never sell your personal information. Some providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep order and payment records for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as UK tax law requires. We keep emails for up to 2 years after our last contact, unless they relate to an order. If you opted in to marketing, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the basket and checkout. We use analytics or marketing cookies only if you agree to them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your personal information
- ask us to correct information that is wrong
- ask us to delete your information, where we don't have to keep it by law
- object to or ask us to restrict how we use it
- ask us to transfer your information to another organisation
- withdraw consent to marketing at any time

Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
